Little Bears, Big Smiles: Kindergarten Students Enjoy "Picnic with Teddy"

On 15th July 2026, the GIIS KL playground transformed into a lively and joyful haven as the Kindergarten students gathered for a special "Picnic with Teddy" event. Designed to blend learning with play, the day offered our youngest learners a memorable outdoor experience filled with laughter, friendship, and imaginative fun.

The morning began with the children settling onto colorful picnic mats with their favorite teddy bears and friends. Together, they shared snacks, sang cheerful songs, listened to engaging storytelling sessions, and chatted warmly with their peers and teachers. The interactive setting seamlessly blended pretend play with structured fun, as the students participated in lighthearted outdoor games with their fluffy companions. Through these shared moments, the children naturally practiced essential life skills such as sharing, cooperation, empathy, and active listening.

Beyond being a delightful morning outdoors, the activity carried a deeper educational purpose. Aligning with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), the picnic encouraged physical activity, outdoor appreciation, and meaningful experiential learning. Furthermore, the event embodied the 9GEMS framework by nurturing Values and Leadership, Academics, Arts and Culture, and Sports, demonstrating how simple, playful experiences can cultivate well-rounded development, creativity, and strong social bonds in early childhood.
